After a Comfortable Series win against Sri Lanka, now the series is moved to Australia. Thou, it’s going to be a short series of 3 Match of ODI which is going to be played in Mumbai, Rajkot and Bangalore.
This series is going to be test for team India itself as they are going to play against a strong opponent. This Australia team is back with David warner and Steven Smith who will be very hungry for runs in this tour. The team which can give a tough competition to India is Australia.
Preview of 1st ODI
India Squad: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma (VC),Shikhar Dhawan,Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, Kedar Jadhav, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami
We all are aware of Team India squad, only Dhawan is back from his injury. It will be interesting to see who will open with Rohit as Rahul is in good form and Dhawan is also back. If team management and Captain Virat decided to play all three, then KL Rahul will be batting 2nd down after Virat Kohli. In same time No 4 Shreyas Iyer is also in good momentum. It will be a good headache for both Team management and Captain to decide the openning combination and No 4 position. As team is going with one Wicket Keeper Rishabh Pant, we will be seeing him mostly 3rd down. No 6 is the position which team India want to think again which was mostly played by Kedar Jadav who is also picked for his unusual bowling action, I think instead of him someone else should play either a perfect batsmen like Manish Pandey or an all-rounder who can bowl full quota of 10 overs, which will be added advantage to team India.
Our bowling department is back with Bumrah, which make our bowling department more stronger. He is back after a long injury spell and we can see him all fresh and ready to shoot the wickets again. With him we can see Shami, who is another quickstar and one of N.Saini or Shardul Thakur will play. Kuldeep Yadav will be frontline spinner as Australia team found struggling against him. Depending on the pitch one of R.Jadeja and Y.Chachal will play.
Probable Playing 11
Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul /Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini
Australia Squad: Aaron Finch (C), Alex Carey (VC), David Warner, Steven Smith, Peter Handscomb, D Arcy Short, Marnus Labuschagne, Ashton Agar, Ashton Turner, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Kane Richardson, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa
This Australia team is power pack with all stars back into there squad which make them a tough oppentent. With having Warner and Smith back, there batting order looks very strong as Finch and warner will be opening the innings, then come our all time favourite Steven Smith. Aaron Finch, David Warner and Steven Smith, this top power pack players can change the game anytime with there aggressive innings. In addition to this top 3 players, Marnus Labuschagne, who is the top test batsmen with average of 63.4 will be seeing playing 2nd down. He is a great player of Test cricket and he will make his ODI debut in this Series. We can expect lot of runs from his pocket which he usually do in Test Cricket. Alex Carey is only wicket keeper in the squad, who will also play a role of finisher at end of the innings.
Pat Cummins, the IPL millionaire boy will be handling the bowl this series with his pace. With him we can see M.Starc and Kane Richardson. This trio can bring a lot of pace with variation. Adam Zampa will be frontline spinner in this series along with all- rounder Ashton Agar.
